qBittorrent aims to be an open source, cross-platform alternative to µTorrent, which in turn aims to be lightweight, fast and powerful. I chose qBittorrent over: µTorrent for being free (of advertising); Transmission for better security (libtorrent); Deluge for better Windows UI integration (Qt). qBittorrent also includes an RSS downloader out-of-the-box.

QBittorrent Torrent Search Engine Introduction The search engine feature of qBittorrent is the best that I have run across in bittorrent clients. I used to suggest to users to not use the built in search features, but rather go directly to the torrent search sites. With qBittorrent, my advice is the opposite: use the search engine within qBittorrent rather than the torrent search sites.
- Avoid manually checking for new episodes, or less predictably; new seasons.
- High chance of the download being completed by the time you feel like watching it.
- Schedule your bittorrent client to minimise interference with your other internet uses, or to utilise off-peak quotas.
- Go to qBittorrent’s RSS tab (Check View -> RSS Reader if the tab is hidden).
- Under New subscription, enter https://eztv.ag/ezrss.xml then hitOK.
- Go to RSS Downloader and set up some rules following the example in the opening screenshot.
- When setting up rules, you’ll only see a match if EZTV published a matching episode in the past hour or so. Be mindful that this means qBittorrent must be running to automatically catch all episodes.
- The Use Regular Expressions setting helps to avoid false positives.
- If you only want the lower resolution encode, move 720p to the Must not contain field.
- The Ignore Subsequent Matches for X days setting helps to avoid duplicate episodes for shows released weekly.
- Check EZTV’s website for a full list of the shows they index.

qBittorrent is a client application which can download and share torrent files. The application provides both a file manager and a torrent search engine. The search engine can categorize results.
The program was originally created as a free and open alternative to commercial programs like uTorrent and BitComet and is constantly being developed by its collaborators with new features added often.
qBittorrent has a number of configuration options like limiting download and upload speeds, interfacing with uPNP, taking over control of .torrent files and advanced queueing and priority levels for your downloads.
